Lithium hydroxide is an inorganic compound with the formula LiOH. It is a white hygroscopic crystalline material. It is soluble in water and slightly soluble in ethanol, and is the weakest base among the alkali metal hydroxides. It is available commercially in anhydrous form and as the monohydrate (LiOH.H2O), both of which are strong bases.

Prec Phrases: Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection. Do not breathe dust/fume/gas/mist/vapours/spray. Wash hands thoroughly after handling. Do no eat, drink or smoke when using this product. IF SWALLOWED: rinse mouth. Do NOT induce vomiting. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. IF INHALED: Remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. IF ON SKIN (or hair): Remove/Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with water/shower. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse. Store locked up. Dispose of contents/container.
